Bach in Cincinnati

Excited to join the Bach Ensemble of St. Thomas and their director Carlton Monroe for two concerts this weekend.

On Friday evening, a 30-35 minute exploration of joy, using the cello suites and two Miniatures from the set of eleven written by my son, Erik Mychal Anderson (b.1995), will be followed by selected cantata arias with the Bach Ensemble Young Artists and an elegant, warm sonata in Bb for cello and harpsichord by Vivaldi.

On Sunday, the cantata BWV 154 is placed back in its liturgical context in a service that will also feature the C major bassoon concerto by JF Fasch.
